VIA ROMANA ENGLESKI – Vuk Drašković (in english language)

U romanu Vuka Draškovića, simboličnog naslova “via Romana”, glavni junak doktor Damjan Čavkakroz svoju sudbinu opisuje skoro četiri veka srpskih posrtanja, od 1602. do današnjeg dana. Taj veliki Carski put je najbolji svedok vekovnih patnji , janjičarstva, raskola, ubistava, samoubistava, begova i podanika, pobednika i pobeđenih, četnika, partizana, ustaša, komunista, svakovrsnih zabluda, krvavih osveta, slepih obožavanja i pobuna, pohlepe, odmetništva, snova i surove stvarnosti, zapleta i loših raspleta, naših pojedinačnih i kolektivnih drama.

Osnova romana je potresna ispovest dvojice janjičara, iz istog sela, iz iste kuće, ali vekovima udaljenih. Jedan obožava sultana Osmana i služi mu, a drugi bogotvori svog sultana i carstvo zvano Titova Jugoslavija.
